Sing Out In Rockland’s Public Square (Park & Main Streets)

  • Chapman Park Rockland, ME, 04841 United States (map)

Sing for Democracy with The Audacity

When: Saturday April 12, 2025

The Audacity is a creative nonviolent group resisting the bigotry, corruption and fascism of Donald Trump and his supporters in the Midcoast. We continue our weekly community singing protest this upcoming Saturday, April 12 at Noon in Chapman Park (corner of Park & Main) in Rockland, Maine.

We will gather at Chapman Park (Corner of Park and Main Streets, next to the Walgreens) every Saturday at Noon as long as Trump remains in the White House, and all those in peaceful opposition are welcomed to join us. We will sing songs of protest, resistance, freedom, and a better world. Teach a song you learned when you were young, learn a song from social movement veterans, and sing together in community. When we sing together, we tell each other that we are not alone, we provide community support and resilience, and together we weave a web that can hold down even a rabid, raging, lion. Tables will be made available for allied social movement organizations. Pick up a free button, make a connection, find allies, and join a resistance project in this time of challenge. We vigil together, we share informational tables together, we resist together.
