Opposing Authoritarianism, Bigotry, & Corruption:

  • Authoritarianism is the anti- democratic practice in which leaders are expected to command and followers are expected to obey

  • Bigotry is the practice of organizing the world into an honored, defended, and privileged Us versus a feared, hated, and oppressed Them

  • Corruption is the use of leadership, privilege, and power for private, personal benefit

Supporting Democracy, Equity, and Freedom:

  • Democracy: a system reflecting the will and actions of the people

  • Equity: fairness in how people are treated, regardless of place or station
